The IDNR was out to do their annual sampling of Shabbona Lake. Despite the cold conditions, the IDNR Biologists were able to find lots of Muskie. The following is a report from Shabbona Lake Sportsman Club President Larry Kimpan, who assited the IDNR along with other club members.

Netted 46 musky this AM. Largest 46.46″, weighing a whopping 33.55 pounds . Lots of nice fish.Thanks to John, Dan and, Rich for helping. Ken, Rick and Karen were the IDNR people, we were helping. They got enough Walleye (from other lakes for their hatcheries) so no netting (of Walleye) needed at Shabbona.
