We caught the Black Crappies down near the bottom, perhaps a foot or two off of the bottom. They were in about 15 feet of water, 12-14 feet down.

We caught White Crappies in brush piles about 8-9 feet down. The White Crappie were more aggressive.

All were caught on minnows.

As you can see, the crappies have been feeding very well over the Summer, they were very thick and fat. All were over 10 inches with the biggest 11 1/2 inches.

If we get some good weather for the 5 Bluegill/5 Crappie Open October 20th, it should be a great time!!!
