Rockfest & Night Ice Fishing Saturday Feb. 22nd
Its going to be a fun weekend! Rockfest, the Shabbona Lake Sportsman Club’s annual habitat event, starts it off Saturday morning at 9 AM. This event is open to the Public and we encourage everyone to attend. At Rockfest we cut a large 4′ x 4′ hole in the ice with a chain saw. Then we drag large rocks and boulders across the ice on sleds pulled by ATV’s or snowmobiles. As the sleds pass over the holes, the rocks drop down into the water. As the rocks pile up on the lake bottom, the rocks form a large rock pyramid. Help if you can!!! Bring your ATV or snowmobile!!!
