…Sunday turned into an interesting story as it unfolded….winds really got going as the day wore on…we tried for the bass early… with the temps at 54º at 0900,we hit spots quick and were blown off several areas I wish we could’ve set up on…Primetime was holding his own with the bass when we came in for the crappie gear….we hit several out of the wind areas(if you could call them that ..LOL) and were a few short of a 4 man limit by the end of the trip…again slip bobbers and minnows worked well for us…found a few males turning colors, but not enough shallow to say the spawn is happening…these yo-yoing temps are a killer for them to figure out I’m sure…even the upper creek is missing the usual activity…we hit the restaurant for some hot chocolate and fries, and coffee for us caffeine freaks…then pounded the crappie for a fun filled afternoon…hook sets seemed to warm up the crew a little…had to use 4 anchors to hold still …even had the boat slide off a few spots with that configuration…..the crew hung tough and watched intensely for the hits and they did very well considering the conditions…32 cleaned with 3-4 dinks released
