This Saturday (May 2nd) and Sunday (May 3rd) is Crappie Contest Weekend. To enter, please stop by Lakeside and donate $5.00 to our lake restocking fund. Sign in on the signup sheet. You must be signed up, before you go fishing, to enter any fish.
If you sign up Saturday, you are signed up for Sunday. You do not need to sign up twice.
The winners will be determined by total weight of up to 10 Crappie. This is a family event and families may combine their heaviest Crappie. Otherwise it is an individual total of up to 10 Crappie.
If you enter less than 10 Crappie on Saturday, you can enter the rest of the 10 on Sunday and combine your weight. Example, if you catch 7 Crappie on Saturday, you can add 3 more on Sunday.
Crappie must be caught at Shabbona Lake between the hours of 6 AM and 7 PM, Saturday May 2nd and Sunday May 3rd.
Weigh in must be at Lakeside’s certified scales.
