Camping | Credit Card Reservations

The campground has 150 Class A sites with electricity, vehicle access, a sanitary dump station and a shower building with flush toilets. All facilities are handicapped accessible. Reservations are accepted for certain sites. Alcohol is prohibited in the campground. One family per campsite or four unrelated adults with up to two tents are allowed. Each site has a picnic table and a fire ring. You must have your camping equipment and be ready to camp when you arrive; you cannot hold a site. Campgrounds may be closed during the spring thaw due to road conditions and shower facilities close during the winter. CABIN INFORMATION

The two cabins consist of two rooms that total approx. 200 square feet and will accommodate a maximum of 6 people. They are located in the campground near the shore of the lake facing southeast overlooking the water. The area is shady and fairly secluded. The cabin has no water or toilet facilities but has two rooms and will accommodate a maximum of 6 people. There is electric baseboard heat so it can be used year-round. The cabin can be reserved for $50. This includes a $5 reservation fee and the first night's camping fee of $45. Contact the park office for further details.

Rules & Regulations for the Cabins:

  1. Reservations will be held no later than 1:00 PM the following day.
  2. The applicant is responsible for the condition of the cabin and surrounding areas. The cabin and immediate area must be left in a clean and orderly condition.
  3. At least one person into he party must be 18 years old.
  4. ABSOLUTELY NO ALCHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE ALLOWED ANYWHERE IN THE CABIN OR CAMPGROUND AREA!
  5. Check out time is 1 PM.
  6. Reservations are not transferable.
  7. No cooking, smoking or pets are allowed inside the cabin.
  8. There is a maximum of 6 people allowed overnight in the cabin - NO TENTS.
  9. Pets must be on a leash no longer than 10 feet.
  10. Fires are restricted to fire rings or cooking grills only.
  11. Quiet hours are 10 PM to 7 AM. Disorderly conduct or noise will no be tolerated at any time.
  12. Children must be supervised at all times.
  13. Guest must leave the campground by 10 PM.

PLEASE NOTE: Shabbona Lake's cabin is a primitive camping cabin and does not contain kitchen or bathroom facilities. Suggested items to bring with you include: first aid kit, cooking & eating utensils, sleeping bags, blankets, linens, towels, water jug, ice chest & ice, charcoal, lighter fluid & matches, toiletries, flashlight & insect repellent & sun tan lotion.
